Classes
Matwork classes are usually an hour session, starting with some gentle breathing and centring excercises,
and then taking you through a range of controlled movements using an over-ball and thera-band to help strengthen the core,
combined with weight bearing exercises to strengthen the upper & lower body, musclature and skeletal structure.
This leads, gradually, to improved balance, co-ordination and effective breathing.
I have a number of asthmatic clients that have mentioned that Pilates has helped improved their breathing.
All classes will finish with some gentle stretching of the hamstrings, glut/piriformis and back muscles.
To try and maximise your relaxing class, all classes are in locations with ample free parking.
Matwork
Matwork classes have a maximum of 10 in a group in order for me to be able to give all clients the required attention that is necessary for Pilates.

Foam Roller
The foam roller is an excellent piece of equipment to enhance your pilates experience. The Feldankrais foam roller can help with posture by opening up the shoulders and lengthening the pectoral muscles. It can also help strengthen the deep stabiliser muscles through balance control exercises. Some of the exercises are excellent for myofascial release.
The foam roller class is also great for excercising the Lymphatic System.
Small Equipment
Small equipment classes give you a chance to work on your stability using a Swiss Ball and foam roller. These types of classes are excellent for improving balance and co-ordination. Small equipment classes have a maximum of 6 in a group.
